Reporting line
Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Team Lead for the relevant asset.
Role
This role will be to lead and provide planning & support for offshore wireline operations in close co-operation with Client
Key responsibilities
- Follow up Client’s and Archer operational expectations and requirements
- Responsible for planning and providing support for offshore wireline operations
- Assist Client in planning of operations
Further:
- Initiate mobilization of equipment and personnel in cooperation with the Client
- Follow up the order / delivery of equipment
- Review operations with the relevant personnel prior to commencement offshore
- Post-job briefing with personnel at the end of offshore trip
- Monitor offshore operations. Report missing or incorrect changes in the operations. Help eliminate the same mistakes in future operations
- Contribute to reduction of downtime and operational halts
- Technical assistance with respect to operational requirements and needs. Identify areas where new technology can make the operation more cost-effective
- Prepare the input & data for, and participate as required in regular service & quality meetings with the Client
- Prepare/Verify draft invoices based on agreements established in the Wireline contracts
- Participate in developing of cost-efficient solutions on maintenance and purchase of equipment
- Evaluation of personnel and equipment resources and training needs
- Be involved in and encourage for of promotion of offshore staff
- Analysing the results of operations and evaluate corrective measures. Making statistics and secure experience. Identify potential improvements.
- Promoting Archer’s services to the Client
Qualifications
Education:
- Technical college/higher education in petroleum related subject.
- Craft certificate in mechanical Wireline or relevant Drilling & Well disciplines
- IWCF certificate level 4.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience performing wireline operations offshore.
- The Operations Supervisor must have sufficient operational experience to form a good overview of the phases of the operation, critical factors, and safety hazards. Normally this will correspond to offshore experience up to a senior level within the field
- Good IT skills
