This role will be to provide support to the Client / Rig for the Sales and Operations team by managing offshore rig operation and deployment of equipment into the well bore. Compile and disseminate information during offshore operations for post job archiving.
Key responsibilities (not limited to)
- Act according to Archer’s Core Values and Code of Conduct
- Perform work according to internal QHSSE procedures and guidelines.
- Attend required onshore/offshore meetings: (ie.) Risk Analysis, Pre and Post job, JSA, and offshore safety meetings.
- Act as Archer Oiltools representative at rig site
- Check equipment offshore according to delivery note when received
- Install equipment offshore according to prepared procedure
- Prepare necessary job reports for all tool installation / offshore activity
- Measure and inspect equipment prior to installation of equipment
- Prepare documentation for shipment of equipment to be sent back into base according to work order and procedures
- Participate in investigation reviews
- Keep current with certifications and required documentation
- Recommend improvements on working procedures and environment issues
- Ensure paperwork is processed in timely manner in accordance to established procedures
- Make sure all training needs and requirements are completed according to timeline
- Keep yourself fully updated on all existing and new technology.
- Promote Archer Oiltools service(s) and capabilities
Skill Requirements
- Knowledge of working on an oil rig
- Knowledge of general business computer software; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and aptitude to learn new software applications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Good mechanical understanding with ability to read and understand tech units and drawings
- Comprehensive knowledge of oilfield tools
- Ability to make decisions and adapt to situations while complying with AOT procedures to get the job done and meet customer expectations
- Ability to communicate well and work with team.
Education and Experience
- Education to Associates degree level or equivalent is desirable but a proven background and experience in wellsite execution of Plugs, packers, well intervention or fishing operations will compensate.
- Work experience, more than one year on offshore rigs
