We are looking for an offshore field Technical Tools Specialist to join the busy Oiltools UK team. The Technical Tool Specialist role is offshore based on an ad hoc basis and will involve travel both within the North Sea and Internationally supporting a number of clients.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective wellbore preparation, slot recovery, fishing and cementing operations for oil and gas exploration projects. The candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of perforation techniques, wellbore cleanout procedures, and cementing processes to enhance well productivity and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- TCP/Eline Explosives
- Quality Control and Safety
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Perform work safely, efficiently, and compliant to both Oiltools and customer requirements.
- Perform service and installation of Oiltools product portfolio according to quality control plans and Best Practice procedures.
- On occasion required to be in the workshop to help prepare, test and mobilise equipment for offshore operations, including carrying out checklist drawings of tools prior to shipment.
Education:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, a strong background and experience in offshore execution may compensate for lack of engineering discipline degree.
- API RP67 Certification would be advantageous
Experience
- Previous experience with explosives is a requirement (either TCP or Eline explosive experience)
We are looking for self-motivated candidates that have a proven experience of offshore operations experience and successful job execution and an understanding of downhole hydraulics as well as Oiltools product line knowledge. Candidates should have excellent communication and reporting skills and a willingness to be proactive and learn upcoming technologies.
