Technical Tool Specialist
The Technical Tools Specialist reports to the Region Manager Middle East.
The Technical Tools specialist is a national and international well site and workshop operational position.
Key responsibilities: This role will be required to:

- Show leadership in making HSE the top priority at all times. Actively comply with and ensure the compliance of others with the successful implementation and continuous improvement of Archer’s QHSE Policies.
- Assist the client’s representatives in generating and reviewing operational programmes to meet the well objectives including providing technical clarification and support as required.
- Prepare and check equipment for the job in consultation with the client representatives and Archer’s operations and sales personnel
- Provide technical support and oversee the rigging up and running of various tools according to Archer’s processes and procedures associated with offshore operations of Archer’s products.
- Prepare, plan and consult with rig crew during operations.
- Maintain an accurate tool run and tool performance history. Ensure all tool failures are recorded and actioned.
- Perform redress, onshore or at any suitable location, of the equipment to ensure maximum tool reliability.
- Ensure all spills are managed on site in accordance with spill response procedures to prevent environmental pollution.

- Inventory management – Keep an updated inventory based on current and near future operations.

- Logistics – shipping to and from other locations and also to jobs in country/region.

- Attend morning meetings at client office when required
Experience and Qualifications

- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years offshore/onshore experience.
- High mechanical aptitude and skills
- Knowledge and experience of well construction techniques (drilling, cementing, casing/liner hangar systems) would be an advantage.
- Hard working, systematic approach and results orientated attitude required.
