Due to a contract win we are looking to add to our Oiltools team for Fishing, Remedial and Milling. We have a vacancy for an onshore Fishing Technical Manager based in our Blackburn office, Aberdeen Monday to Friday. This is an exciting time to join the team and be part of the growth.
You will be accountable for the execution of all Fishing, remedial, and milling operations within the UK, Africa and Caspian region; working closely on monthly revenue reporting, and costs associated to the product line and responsible for managing the fishing offshore and onshore team. As a client facing role, you will build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, focusing on problem solving and collaborative long-term projects is key to the role.
- Responsibilities include overseeing workshop activities, office, and offshore activities in relation to fishing.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to facilitate business objectives.
- Manage the Fishing Operations coordinators, Workshop Team and Offshore Fishing Supervisors.
- Ensure pre-planning of the operations and post job evaluation/reports including engineer brief and debriefs are completed.
- Accountable for the service quality of all fishing and milling projects
- Identifying areas of continuous improvement (safety, new technology, logistics, communications, etc.).
- Involvement in Fishing processes and workflows (Workshop & and in field) to optimize and enable further growth in the UCA market.
- Ensure good collaboration within the wider fishing and operations team and delegate the operational workload appropriately within the team.
Education
- While no specific educational background is required, formal classroom or online training related to Fishing & Milling operations is preferred. A college or university degree could be advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant onshore or offshore experience in a variety of Fishing and Milling Operations
- A mechanical aptitude and pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Experience in directly communicating and dealing with customer requirements
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
