4. General Instruction for Managers
All managers are expected to perform their job within the bounds of Archer`s Mission, Vision and Values, and in line with the Company`s management systems and established policies, processes and procedures.
Manager attitude makes company culture. Therefore all managers shall act and make decisions within the understanding of Company`s Core Values. Managers must walk the talk and be good role models for employees.
Each manager and supervisor shall establish plans and objectives for their respective department, and ensure these are known to their personnel in their organization. Managers are also expected to perform Performance Management Review (PMR) according to company`s policy.
Each manager and supervisor is responsible to promote the highest standard to company’s safety, productivity and profitability by themselves being cost conscious, improve safety routines, efficiency and aim for flawless execution.
Managers will achieve results through their personnel, and it will be of essential importance that necessary control functions are established to proactively be able to identified any improvement needs or make early correction.
It is expected that managers and supervisors fully support decisions made and make sure decisions are implemented as planned. Any disagreements or expressions of point of view must be communicated through the formal process up front.
All Managers are expected to run their business as cost effective as possible within the frame of safety and service quality assurance, and ensure focus on cost control and resource utilization.
All managers shall strive for having their own successor, train them and make sure they are developed the best possible way. Managers are also expected to make timely appraisals and give guidance and support to employees.
It is a given that we act according to local laws and regulations. It is important for Archer to be a responsible Employer. Therefore we will treat unions’ representatives, safety delegates and any other employee representatives with respect and ensure we create a good work relationship and communication with them to create a positive proactive work culture.
